Another Day

I have been cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. Getting ready for the new year. I haven't cleaned in so long, I have a lot to do. I have decided that as many days as I can I am going to list what I am thankful for, what made me laugh and what amazed me each day. It might be interesting for me to look back on this throughout the year and expand on the things that made me laugh. Today, I am thankful for a little time to myself just to listen to my own noise. I love the quiet, my husband is at work and my son is with a friend. What made me laugh, my son calling from the store needing more money for his purchase. I remembered when they handed him to me in the hospital and I saw that cute dimple smile that would make it hard to resist his requests. Little did I know what the voice would add to that heartfelt pull in seeing his side of things. It is so. What amazed me today- finding someone I went to high school living in the same town as I do. We haven't seen each other since 1974. I wonder how many times we crossed paths and didn't even realize we knew each other. I've always said it would be nice to compare each others mental roadmaps (rolodex) or "contacts" to see how many people we had in common. Until next time- stay well.
